One of the most anticipated Air Jordan 6 releases ever, the Air Jordan 6 Retro "Maroon" finally dropped in late 2015. After years of speculation and teasers from Jordan Brand, many fans remained skeptical—until leaked images from China surfaced in July and sent the sneaker community into a frenzy. Marking its first-ever retro release, the "Maroon" arrived in men’s, GS, and PS sizing, complete with the iconic "Nike Air" branding on the heel.
Part of Nike’s Retro Remaster initiative launched in Spring 2015, this version aimed to closely replicate the original 1991 design. The shoe stands out with its clean off-white leather upper, accented by deep maroon hits on the midsole and tongue. A unique detail is the milky translucent outsole, replacing the icy blue typically seen on Retro 6s. As a finishing touch, the packaging was also designed to mirror the original 1991 box, staying true to the heritage of the silhouette.
